Long overdue post...

Toni Ruppert, working on Grandpa Reads to Me, ©2010
I have not posted in a while and I'm coming clean.  I've been super self-conscious and not sure what to do next with my blog.  I could not complete my "Father's Day" project and I'm sorry to all who submitted photos.  Due to a paid commission and a summer job, I could not paint anything additional.

So now, with my own permission, I'm moving on and will get over my shame.  I've learned:

1) Overwhelming myself is no longer an option.
2) The truth feels so good.
3) TBP: Think before posting.

Author Emily Kimbrough said, "Remember, we all stumble, every one of us.  That's why it's a comfort to go hand in hand.  I talked to my associate, UK artist Kirsty Hall, who encouraged me to post today.  I'm so glad I talked to her.

For the record, I love connecting with folks here and will continue to do so.

Hello Toni, Be gentle with yourself! These things happen, and those who love you and your work...myself included...will understand.

I'm so glad that you're back. :-)
